MAGUS Stereo 7B stereoscopic microscope - MAGUS
A stereoscopic microscope is an indispensable tool for the detailed study of volumetric samples, as it reproduces the virtual volume of an object and allows you to examine its structure, offering a clear image of its topography. The device is equipped with illuminators for reflected and transmitted light observations that allow you to work with opaque and transparent samples. Polarized light and dark field methods are possible observation methods.
The advantages of the Greenough type optical scheme are the large depth of field and the three-dimensionality of the image thanks to the stereoscopic angle of 15°. A stereoscopic microscope magnifies an object and provides its spatial position, producing an uninverted image. The microscope therefore becomes the ideal tool for manipulating objects within a working area between 105 and 177 millimetres. Stereoscopic microscopes are widely used for quality control of restoration, assembly, welding, goldsmithing and similar processes.

The MAGUS Stereo 7B microscope head features 2 eyepiece tubes. If necessary, you can place your digital camera inside one of the two tubes. To allow comfortable and effective observation, it is possible to rotate the head 360° and lock it in any position. The microscope is equipped with 2 eyepieces with 10x magnification and a field of view of 22 mm. Diopter adjustment can be done directly on the eyepieces and eye relief is at a convenient distance for those who wear glasses.
The zoom lens changes the magnification of the object by 6.7x without creating an effect blurry. The image is created volumetrically and straight. It is possible to add magnification or field of view as well as change the working distance by means of auxiliary objectives of different magnification.
The MAGUS Stereo 7B model features coarse focus only. Two focus knobs are present on both sides of the stand. You can adjust the stiffness of the stroke.
The table is equipped with two different plates. A lens for making observations in transmitted light conditions, during which the light is diffused giving the object a soft and uniform illumination. The other plate is black and white and is installed on the stage according to the principle of contrast of the observed object and is used for opaque samples.
The microscope is equipped with illuminators for observations in transmitted light conditions and reflected. The reflected light creates oblique illumination. Both illuminators are based on 3W LEDs with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
The microscope can be accessorised with a wide range of additional components that can be purchased separately. The range includes eyepieces and auxiliary objective lenses, which provide different magnifications, modify the field of view and the working distance of the microscope. Digital cameras with a wide range of features will allow you to view images on the screen or document observations. You can purchase calibration slides to measure objects. For studies involving the dark field or polarized light method, it is possible to equip the microscope with a dark field condenser and a polarization device respectively. To expand the functionality of the microscope, there are different illuminators: classic ring, ring with polarizer or sector change and a flexible one. Supports of different types will allow you to set the optimal position of the microscope head on the working surface and thus expand the working area.
