Featherweight Thumbhole Ruger® 77 MKII Long Action Factory Cane Channel in Nutmeg Laminate The design of the FT is a synthesis of design elements required by you, the customer, for a thumb hole design. With a large flip-up cheek piece for oscilloscope use and a straight comb design to minimize cheek slap when shooting, the thumb hole conforming to the hand allows for greater accuracy while distributing recoil between the palm and shoulder thus minimizing muzzle jump and felt recoil. The forend is proportioned to perfectly complement the 21-inch to 25-inch long barrels and will accommodate barrel actions with dirtier standard contour barrels. Larger barrels up to a tapered varmint design can fit into these stocks. The forend also has side vents that allow the free floating barrel to cool down efficiently for those long days at the range.
