The Javelina, or Peccary, is a native animal of Central and South America, with some populations also in southwestern North America. Although not exactly a wild boar, the javelina is similar in structure and behavior. Its particularly developed sense of smell and the color of its coat which facilitates camouflage make it extremely difficult to hunt with a bow.
